Saturday | 02.20.10 | Wilmo Wagon

I'll try to document the process on this one for you all to, if you know me, you know I love a good side project, especially one that solves a problem, engages the community, and promotes the City of Wilmington.

So here's to a group idea; finding an affordable, cost-effective and efficient late night transportation system to close the gap between Trolley Square, Union Street, the Riverfront, Downtown Wilmo & Crosby Hill. If you're a Delaware Native, think the Jolly Trolley in Dewey / Rehoboth. It's a life saver, literally. It promotes responsiblity in drinking, increases local patronage and provides an effective, cheap option for your late night travel.

I like to think that good design promotes a good idea, so that's where I come in, look for an identity soon. The name was coined by local marketer Kelly Confroncisco: Wilmo Wagon. The idea was tossed around by Steve Roettger, Wes Garnett , Phil and Stacey Woods, as well. Good things to come for Wilmington.

  1. Lease a 15 passenger van and insure it for a few hundred bux a month, and generate rev from businesses that would benefit from advertising along the route.
